Analyst Predicts Apple Will Release Foldable MacBook by 2027
So far, we’ve heard several rumors about Apple’s folding device. Some reports suggest it could be a foldable iPad in a form similar to the iPad mini, while others say it could be a flip-style foldable similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip series. However, now there is a twist in the story. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, known for accurately predicting Apple’s moves, has hinted that Apple could be working on a massive 20-inch MacBook with a foldable display, which is also in line with a few other reports.
“I’ve been getting a lot of inquiries recently about whether Apple plans to mass-produce a foldable iPhone or iPad in 2025 or 2026. According to my latest research, Apple’s only foldable product with a clear development schedule at the moment is the 20.3-inch MacBook, expected to enter mass production in 2027” , Ming-Chi Kuo said on X (formerly Twitter). However, that was all Kuo had to say about the same.
It would be interesting to see a foldable MacBook, to say the least. Currently, the largest MacBook sold by Apple is the 16-inch model with the M3 chipset. Earlier, the brand also had a 17-inch model, but it has been discontinued for a long time.
Now that you think about it, it’s not practical for Apple to make a consumer-grade laptop with a 20-inch screen, for obvious reasons. However, if there was a laptop screen that could open up to reveal a larger screen, that would be an interesting proposition.
However, these are early-stage rumors at the moment, and as always, Apple’s plans are always subject to change. Therefore, this information should be taken with a grain of salt until we have something concrete.
